The U.S. Supreme Court decision on The Stolen Valor Act

Postby News-Argus on Mon Jul 02, 2012 10:00 am

The Stolen Valor Act was enacted by Congress in 2006 to make it illegal to lie about receiving the Medal of Honor and other prestigious military recognitions.
The U.S. Supreme Court recently upheld a lower court decision calling this law unconstitutional on the basis of freedom of speech, though anyone who fabricates honors can still be prosecuted for fraud.
