Marjorie Thompson will be the guest speaker for the 23rd Annual Vivian B. Harrison Memorial Lecture. Thompson is an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church USA. She has served as adjunct faculty for several seminaries, including McCormick, Auburn, Wesley, and Vanderbilt Divinity School. She teaches in The Upper Room’s Academy for Spiritual Formation, and has directed the foundational program for Stillpoint (Programs in Spiritual Direction and Contemplative Prayer) in Nashville. The lecture series this year will be on the topic of Sabbath. The first lecture will be held on March 18 at 7 PM.  On March 19, there will be a 9 AM lecture, and an 11 AM worship service.   The purpose of the event is to provide a medium for continuing education for the ministers and laypersons of North Carolina.
