Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held before the Wayne County Commissioners to receive public comment on a proposed amendment to the Wayne County Ordinances Chapter 2 Manufactured Housing, Division 2 Standards and Set Up, Section 41 Mobile home brought in from outside the County on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 9:15 A.M. in the County Commissioners meeting room, Wayne County Courthouse Annex, 224 East Walnut St. in Goldsboro on the following item.
Replace the existing standard with the following:
All mobile homes being setup in Wayne County must meet current HUD standards. Each mobile home that is not new must be inspected be a certified HUD inspector, a professional engineer, or an architect prior to obtaining a setup permit. The inspector must provide the Wayne County inspections office a signed statement that the mobile home meets the current HUD standards. If the inspector is an engineer or architect, the statement must be accompanied by the inspector's professional seal. If the statement is by a certified HUD inspector the statement must be notarized. All individuals conducting such inspections must be then currently licensed in North Carolina by the appropriate authorities.
