Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the City Council and the Planning Commission of the City of Goldsboro, in the Council Chambers, upstairs in City Hall, 214 North Center Street, Goldsboro, North Carolina, at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.OF ZONE HEARING

AMENDMENTS TO THE GOLDSBORO ZONING CODE
Z-1-13 PIRHL Southeast, LLC — West side of West Lockhaven Drive between Wayne Memorial Drive and Norwood Avenue
The property is located on the west side of West Lockhaven Drive between Wayne Memorial Drive and Norwood Avenue. The Wayne County Tax Identification No. is 12-3600-82-1151 (Portion). The property has a frontage of 64 ft., an average depth of 582.5 ft. and a total area of approximately 248,292 sq. ft., or 5.7 acres. The present zoning classification is Office and Institutional-1. The proposed zoning classification is R-6 Residential Conditional District to allow a 72-unit multi-family apartment facility.
The City Council of the City of Goldsboro may change the existing zoning classification of the entire area covered by the application or any part or parts of such area, to the classification requested, or to a higher classification or classifications without the necessity of withdrawal or modification of the application. Parties in interest and citizens shall have the opportunity to be heard and may obtain further information on the proposed change from the City of Goldsboro Department of Planning and Community Development, City Hall, 200 North Center Street, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Anyone desiring to file a written petition of protest intended to invoke the three-fourths (3/4) majority vote rule as specified in G.S. 160A-385 must file such petition in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 200 North Center Street, no later than 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Petitions are available in the Department of Planning and Community Development.
