Our gift to you: Annual Progress edition allows us to share more of your stories.
Inside today's edition of The News-Argus, you will find our 2010 Progress edition. Organized a little differently this year, this collection of stories has a theme -- The Next 10 Years.
The idea behind the section is simple -- to share the stories of those who have not only gotten us to this point, but who will be around to lead us into the future.
In each section you will also get a chance to look back and to look forward, meeting people from your community who are doing the work now and those who will do it in the future. And you will also get the chance to look back at a little county history from 2000 -- 10 years ago.
What you will find, as we did, is that there are a lot of people with a lot of great stories in Wayne County -- and that there is reason to be pretty hopeful about the future of this community.
And because we found so many stories to tell and issues to explore, there will be several more of these more extensive pieces appearing in upcoming editions of the newspaper. We wanted to make sure you got to read all of them. So, keep your eyes peeled.
As always, this section is a big job and takes weeks of work to make happen.
We are proud not only of the effort you will see inside today, but of the picture it paints of the community we serve.
In the end, you will see, like we did, that Wayne County's "Next 10 Years" are full of promise.
