Deacon Jones Ford Lincoln Mercury offers customers quality products, a knowledgeable sales staff whose goal is complete customer satisfaction and a service department that is second to none.
In 1970, Deacon Jones began his first business venture as Princeton Auto Sales, selling used cars.
In 1978, Deacon Jones Buick-Pontiac, Inc. was established and began operation in Smithfield.
Jones opened a new facility at 1115 Bright Leaf Blvd. in Smithfield in 1985. At that time, he added the Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge franchises.
In the following years, the GMC and Cadillac franchises joined Buick, Pontiac, Chrysler and Dodge.
Over the years, Jones purchased the Chevrolet franchise in Kenly, Deacon Jones Chevrolet, (which he owned until June 2006) and the Lincoln-Mercury franchise in Goldsboro, Deacon Jones Lincoln-Mercury. This location eventually added the Kia franchise.
In 2003, Jones purchased the Ford franchise from Capital Ford, formerly Snipes Ford. Ford joined Lincoln-Mercury and Kia at 1014 Eleventh St. in Goldsboro.
In January 2004, the Kia franchise moved from the Ford-Lincoln-Mercury store and relocated to 2077 U.S. 70 West.
The Deacon Jones family purchased Smithfield Chevrolet-Jeep in 2003. In recent years, Goldsboro Nissan was purchased and renamed Deacon Jones Nissan. Pre-owned stores are now open in Kinston, Sanford and Fayetteville.
Over the years, Deacon Jones dealerships have continued to grow remaining loyal to their slogan, "We treat people the way we would like to be treated." The Smithfield location which included Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Cadillac, Chrysler and Dodge, has become Deacon Jones Auto Park. The Auto Park in Smithfield includes new and pre-owned vehicles, more than 1,000 in stock. Deacon Jones Auto Park in Smithfield recently opened a "Welcome Center" for their customers. This Business Development Center works directly with cutomers to ensure they find the vehicle they are looking for, and along with their team of professional sales consultants, make sure each customer has a pleasant shopping experience.
Deacon Jones Preowned Super Center and Deacon Jones Credit Center are all part of Deacon Jones Auto Park in Smithfield.
Deacon Jones in Princeton serves as a clearance center for Deacon Jones dealerships providing affordable pre-owned transportation.
All Deacon Jones dealerships have special finance departments to assist those who have suffered financial hardships.
Deacon Jones is now the largest group of family-owned dealerships in Eastern North Carolina.
