Looking for that perfect gift for a special someone?

Just For You Card and Gift Shop Inc. and proprietors James and Faye Ward have been helping Wayne County celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and other special days since 1989.

The Wards purchased an established business and initially continued the foundation of selling greeting cards, personalized stationery and children's items and gifts. But as their product lines grew, they outgrew their space, forcing them to move to 2511 E. Ash St.

Over the past 18 years, the Wards have greatly expanded the lines and services at Just for You. Popular lines include Vera Bradley handbags and accessories, engraved and unique jewelry, clothing items, collections by Jim Shore, Willow Tree, Collegiate and seasonal gifts and more. Webkinz, Hello Kitty, Baby Gund and Taggies are popular children's gifts also available at the store.

Stationery and all-occasion invitations are printed in-house by Jim, with hundreds of designs to choose from. Wedding invitations, birth announcements and napkins are available in the Stationery Department.

Looking for a special holiday card? Christmas cards with in-house printing of family member names are available from October through December.

The Wards pride themselves on customer service, with five employees, Rachael, Jean, Lanora, Kim and Lisa, ready to assist customers in making their purchases, whether it is a special card or a unique present for that special someone.

And after the sale, service continues at Just For You. Gift wrapping is free.

James and Faye said they want to make shopping at Just For You a pleasant experience. They want their customers to know that they are part of the family.

The Air Force brought the Wards to Goldsboro in 1984. After his retirement, they found a new adventure in retail. The couple is thankful for all the customers who have entered their door.

"We hope the treasures they found in Just for You have brought joy and happiness to them," Faye said.
