Wanda Best loves children.

So when she lost her only son, Stephen, she decided to open Noah's Nook Boo-tique in his honor. "Boo" was her nickname for her him.

That was Oct. 9, 1999.

Today, Noah's Nook Boo-tique offers parents — and doting grandparents — a one-stop shop for the perfect gifts for their precious little ones.

From specialty clothing for everyday and dress up to a selection of unique toys and gifts, there is plenty to make any child's eyes light up.

And for years, Noah's Nook's selection and top-notch customer service have made it the place to go for that perfect birthday, christening, Christmas, baby shower or just because gift.

Reasonable prices also make it the perfect stop for children's clothing and accessories that last and last.

As the store's popularity grew, the time came for the business to seek a new location.

In January, Ms. Best moved the business next door to the Elroy fire station on Highway 70 east of the city, where Lee Howell and Gloria Rouse help her serve their loyal customers.

The ladies at Noah's Nook try to give each customer individualized service. They do special gift wrapping at no charge.

After all, for Mrs. Best and her staff, it is like taking care of family.

Her customers have been a blessing, she said.

Noah's Nook carries a wide variety of children's clothing including name brands like Bailey Boys, Peaches & Cream, la top, Plum Pudding, Potato Saks and Anavini. Sizes run from newborn to 14.
