The Cain Gallery

David Cain of The Cain Gallery.

The Cain Gallery first started its professional photography in Goldsboro in 1995 out of a small spare bedroom in the home of owner David Cain.

Cain has always had the passion of creating portraits, starting out as a child and continuing to develop his style and technique throughout the years.

In 1998, he went full-time with the studio in a garage of his house.

Finally in August 2006, The Cain Gallery opened at its current location at 117 N. James St. in downtown Goldsboro.

Cain was able to go in and design his 2,000-square-foot custom storefront studio from scratch, offering a spiral staircase, a fireplace and historic window scene as well as exclusive custom-painted backgrounds for his clients. With a roll-up door at the back, it has even been possible to bring in motorcycles or bikes and go-karts.

Specializing in personalized child and family portraiture and wedding photography, The Cain Gallery is also known for offering quality sports portraits around Wayne and surrounding counties, children's portraits at preschools and child care centers, senior portraits with custom "stylz" books as options, numerous functions with Seymour Johnson Air Force Base including the annual Air Force Ball, church celebrations, and ballet and dance portraits.

The Cain Gallery is one of the only professional studios around to still offer quality film portraiture, both black and white and color, versus digital photography, but that has the capability of putting images online for friends and family members who might live out of the area.

Customized, creative portraits and "Capturing the Moment" every time is the quality and value offered by The Cain Gallery, nominated for "Outstanding Merchant of the Year" by the Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation earlier this year.
