A man escaped from a burning house this morning in Goldsboro during the snow storm.
Witnesses say they heard the man yelling from inside his house, and he was unable to get out. He later emerged from the back of the house. He was not wearing shoes, witnesses said.

The fire call came in at about 10:15 a.m. near the corner of Leslie and Spruce streets. Flames were as high as 25 feet in the air before being hosed down by Goldsboro firefighters.
Flames were still showing at press time. No injuries were reported.
