A small wood-frame house at 1941 Pineview Cemetery Road was destroyed today in a pre-dawn fire. Seven Springs Volunteer Fire Chief Rick Sutton said the cause of the fire had not been determined but foul play was not suspected. The identity of the resident and the owner was not immediately known. Sutton said the resident fled outside but was taken to the emergency room as a precaution. When firefighters arrived, Sutton said the home was consumed in fire. About 35 Seven Springs, Pricetown and Indian Springs volunteers answered the 4 a.m. call with 11 trucks. They needed about three hours to put out the fire, investigate the cause and finish salvage work.
