Antione Logan Chestnut, 17, of Evelyn Circle, Dudley, has been reported missing. Chestnut is described as a black male with short braids. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, red shorts and white tennis shoes. Chestnut may be in the company of a person named Arnold.
Leslie Renee Watkins, 31, was reported missing to Goldsboro police. Ms. Watkins was described as black, with black hair and brown eyes, with silver wire-framed glasses. She was last seen wearing light blue and purple-striped shirt, blue capri pants and white sandals. According to Nettie Royal Howell, Ms. Watkins' guardian, Ms. Watkins had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and had been refusing to take her medication. Ms. Howell said Ms. Watkins told her she was getting a bus ticket to New York City.
A 1992 Ford truck reported stolen from Charles Ronald Artis of Fremont was located and recovered in Greenville. Artis reported the vehicle stolen at approx. 6:30 a.m. Friday from his business, Yardbird Landscaping in Eureka. The vehicle was found by Greenville police at about 1 p.m. the same day.
Guns, drugs recovered
As a result of a traffic stop by the Sheriff's Aggressive Criminal Enforcement team, two stolen guns were recovered along with 18 grams of cocaine. Jaikelvin Maye, Brian Barnes and Nakia Maye, all of Timber Hollow Drive, Dudley, were charged with two counts of possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of cocaine with intent to sell and deliver.
Sharonda Davis, 23, concealed several items in a diaper bag and attempted to leave Wal-Mart without paying for them, according to police reports. Ms. Davis attempted to steal items valued at $184.01 total, including T-shirts, scrub nurse pants, bathing suits and shorts. Ms. Davis was arrested and charged with larceny. Bond was set at $300.
Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:
*Antonio Franklin Lewis reported a break-in at his home on 805 S. Randolph St. Damage and value of stolen goods were estimated at $195.
*Richard D. Anger reported a break-in at his shed on Lionel Street. Value of stolen goods was estimated at $350. Damage to the window of the shed was set at $75.
*Cora Artis reported an attempted break-in at her home at 1208 N. George St. Damage to a broken window was estimated at $200.
*Rodney Durann Artis reported that a window on his 1994 Ford Explorer was broken, and two 8-inch speakers, valued at $100, were stolen. Damage to the window was set at $100.
*Vivian Bryant, 40, of Newsome St., reported that her ex-husband, Anthony Devon Bryant, hit her in the forehead and mouth.
*Travis Jones dented the passenger door of a 1995 Oldsmobile Ciera owned by the city of Goldsboro while resisting arrest, reports say.
*Shelly Turner, 23, of Cashwell Drive reported that Matthew C. Turner, 23, pushed her down and scratched her while she was getting in her car to leave for work. According to police reports, the couple only own one car and Mr. Turner wanted to use it.
*Sandra Chapel of Leslie St. reported the back glass of her Chevrolet minivan broken Friday morning.
*Kenneth Arnold Lane reported $1,800 missing from his wallet after he left it at the Goldsboro Family Y. Lane said his wallet must have fallen out of his pocket while he was exercising. When he returned to the fitness center, he found his wallet on a treadmill, with the money missing.
*A water meter was reported stolen from a construction site at 1102 Stevens St. The meter was valued at $50.
*Josha D. Dahn of Goldsboro Rent-It reported a lock was broken and a $2500 generator stolen from his business.
