An 18-year-old Pikeville man told police he was struck in the mouth with a gun and robbed of a cell phone by an unknown subject in the area of 3200 Central Heights Road on Friday night.
The incident occurred around 11:25 p.m., when Christian Claiborne dropped off two female passengers at Tanglewood Mobile Home Park. He said he was waiting in his vehicle when an unknown male approached and asked for a cigarette, then displayed a gun and demanded money.
Claiborne said the subject reached into the vehicle and took a cell phone from Claiborne's lap and then hit him in the mouth with the gun after Claiborne told him he did not have any money.
Heidi Morgan of Mike Circle told Goldsboro police she returned home to find her 51-inch television had been stolen, with no sign of forced entry at the premises.
The television, estimated value $2,181, was believed to have been taken sometime between July 20 and 23.
