Make a Difference Day projects set

Some projects this year include:

*Boys and Girls Club of Fremont -- help with Power Hour, landscaping and painting.

*Boys and Girls Club of Mount Olive -- help with Power Hour, landscaping and help with basketball tournament.

*Boys and Girls Club of Wayne County -- help with Power Hour, landscaping and installing bathroom stalls.

*WARM Hearts -- donate items for a bake sale fundraiser, research funding opportunities, organize picnic/party/educational event for mentors and mentees.

*Communities In Schools -- school supply drive.

*Meadow Lane Elementary School -- beautification of grounds.

*Goldsboro Family Y -- clean walking trail.

*Salvation Army -- food drives for the food pantry and help with organized donated items.

*MERCI Center -- supply drive for flood buckets, baby items, health kits and bedding; answer phones, enter data of distribution of goods for disaster relief and organize donated goods.

*Red Cross -- donate at blood drives and collect items for hygiene kits.

*Alterra Sterling House -- answer phones, greet visitors, help with games.

*Girl Scouts -- paint and remove wallpaper at service center.

*Gov. Charles B. Aycock Birthplace -- teach history to students.

*3HC, Kitty Askins Center -- supply drives.

*The Pines -- help with games.

*Boy Scouts -- do flooring.

*Volunteer Wayne/RSVP -- register volunteers that show up on Make A Difference Day.

*WAGES Meals On Wheels -- deliver meals to homebound.
