Computer classes scheduled

KENANSVILLE -- A schedule of computer classes has been developed for James Sprunt Community College for this fall.

The Continuing Education classes are scheduled for both daytime and evening. The round of classes will run from Monday, Oct. 10, through Thursday, Nov. 29. Classes will meet for two classes per week, each class lasting for three hours. For students who need to develop basic typing skills, there will be an Introduction to Keyboarding class. There will be one section of the basic introductory level class -- Introduction to Microcomputers, Windows, and Microsoft Works. Among other classes, there will be classes on the use of the Internet and the Microsoft Office suite of applications such as Word and Excel.

Tuition for each course is $60. Senior citizens over the age of 65 can take any course by paying the technology fee of $5.

Once 12 students have pre-registered for a class, registration for that class will be closed. To pre-register and reserve a place in a class, call Bryant Henderson at 910-296-2521 or e-mail at bryanth@jscc.cc.nc.us.
