Crash ends in teen's death

A 15-year-old passenger was killed Sunday night in a one-car wreck on East Ash Street near Meadowlane Elementary School, Goldsboro police reported.
The victim was identified as Cameron Coley of 214 W. Pine St. He was riding with Shawntago Dominique Coley, 18, of the same address, Goldsboro police Maj. M.D. Hopper said.
Both teens were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where Cameron Coley died. Shawntago Coley was listed in stable condition today, a spokeswoman said.
The car ran off the right side of the road and struck a power pole, according to a preliminary report from Officer B.J. Gilstrap. The crash remained under investigation.
The 1994 Saturn car, valued at $5,000, was demolished.
The traffic fatality was the third in 2005 on Goldsboro streets.
