Smitty's, a bar at N.C. 903 and Davis-Hardy Road, just east of Seven Springs, has been closed under the nuisance abatement law after numerous complaints to authorities. Last year, a Wayne County man was killed and another man was wounded there. The owner, Johnny Harrison Smith, voluntarily surrendered his alcohol license.
