Child hurt in accident

A three-year-old Hispanic child, reportedly sustained head injuries after being struck by a vehicle late Tuesday afternoon, and was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital, law-enforcement officers said.
Further details were unavailable at presstime, pending receipt of an accident report filed by the Highway Patrol.
Deputies from the Sheriff's Office called for rescue personnel in the area of Hopeswell and Emmaus Church Road near the landfill in Dudley on Tuesday around 4:30 p.m. A car had reportedly backed over the child, but it was unconfirmed whether the child was in the roadway.
