29th Annual Greater Goldsboro Road Run to be held March 31

The 29th Annual Greater Goldsboro Road Run will be held Saturday, March 31, starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Pedestrian Plaza on Center Street.
The event is a major fundraiser for the Sunrise Kiwanis Club, which supports a number organizations that focus on helping children, including the Boys Scouts, the Girl Scouts and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wayne County, as well as the Wayne County School System.
The road run is the second oldest in the state.
The route takes participants through residential areas of downtown Goldsboro. Cost for entry is $10 in advance for the one-mile fun run/walk and $15 in advance for the 5-kilometer run/walk and 10-kilometer run. Fees are $12 and $20, respectively, on the day of the event.
Runners and walkers will receive a commemorative T-shirt and the top finishers will receive prizes. Refreshments will be available.
