Two people were injured Saturday in a two-vehicle collision on Wayne Memorial Drive at the U.S. 70 East off ramp. Joyce Cripps Garris, 47, of Surry Drive, was traveling south on Wayne Memorial Drive at about 6 p.m. when she allegedly ran a red light and was struck in the side by a vehicle driven by Daniel Brett Sauls, 24, of Tommy's Road. Both were taken to the hospital for nonlife threatening injuries. Ms. Garris was cited for a stop light violation. All told, damage to Ms. Garris' 2000 Ford and Sauls' 2003 Chevrolet was set at $5,000.
