Bicycle club finishes annual ride Saturday

The Seyboro Cyclist Bicycle Club completed its fifth annual Double Century Saturday.
The local club was joined by a group of cyclists from out-of-town as they headed out at 6 a.m.
During the course of the day, the riders traveled through the towns of Goldsboro, Smithfield, Kenly, Pikeville, LaGrange, Kinston, Hookerton, and Snow Hill and dozens of crossroad communities. The riders completed the course at 7:30 p.m., with an average speed of 18 miled per hour, excluding breaks.
Local finishers included Chuck Hand, Mike Haney, Calvin Ford, Scott Summers, Tom Powell, Agat McAllister, Bob Liddiard, Neal Price, Keith Hines and Dave Guerra.
Out-of-town finishers were Harry Wilson from Pilot Mountain and Tom and Mary Florian and Suzy Bragg from Fayetteville.
