New way to fuel farms

Matt Rudolph, left, and Greg Austic, of Piedmont Biofuels, demonstrate the process of converting vegetable oil into a biodiesel fuel during a day-long Fueling the Farm workshop at Cherry Research Farm. Farmers from all over North Carolina learned about the mechanics of diesel engines relating to using vegetable oil, or biodiesel, as an alternative fuel.
