Members of the Stoney Creek Park Alliance met Thursday at the Lantern Inn before walking across Ash Street to the site of the proposed $2 million park. Public Works Director Neil Bartlett, center, explains the details of the plan to City Council member Bob Waller, left and board member Conway Rose. Also pictured are alliance vice chairman Sissy Lee-Elmore and Recreation and Goldsboro's new Recreation and Parks Director Sonya Shaw. The state recently denied a grant request that totaled $500,000 and no construction has yet occurred at the park.
