A Sunny South Street woman reported that a hispanic male she does not know tried to pull her into a navy blue four-door vehicle in the 2000 block of U.S. 117 South on Wednesday evening, Goldsboro police said. Police brought Faviola Garsia Franco, 25, back to the station so a bilingual officer could translate her account of the 7 p.m. incident, authorities said. The woman's purse and money were stolen, police said.
The Selective Enforcement Unit charged Tyrell Williams, 18, Denmark Street, with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, Goldsboro police said. A magistrate set Williams' bond at $2,000, authorities said.
