WCC instructor honored

An English instructor at Wayne Community College who coordinates the college's new honors program, was honored recently at the annual national convention of the internatinal honor society for two-year colleges.
Tara Bass, who recently stepped down as advisor to the college's Upsilon Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, was among 40 advisors to be awarded a "2008 Paragon Award for New Advisors." The award is given to chapter advisors of less than five years.
This year, nearly 500 chapters competed for the honor.
