Williams J. Neal's first court appearance

A Wayne County grand jury indicted a man serving an active sentence in a 1987 rape of a 12-year-old girl, a crime that sent the wrong man to prison for 18 years. William J. Neal, 52, stands accused of the Jefferson Park rape. Now pardoned and exonerated Dwayne Dail, a former Goldsboro resident who now lives in Florida, was falsely accused of the crime and incarcerated in 1989.
