Members of the 4th Fighter Wing Security Forces detail run the Special Olympics torch up Berkeley Boulevard Tuesday. Law enforcement agencies across the nation conduct “Torch Runs” each year, raising money for Special Olympics programs in each state. Locally, Goldsboro police, the Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement from Seymour Johnson AFB and two federal agents participated in the 14-mile run that originated at the Goldsboro Police Department. Special Olympics Wayne County athletes also took part.
