Goldsboro police officers work at the scene of shooting that happened during a routine traffic stop at the intersection of Creech and Elm streets Sunday afternoon. Both the officer and the supect were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for gunshot wounds. The supect was later airlifted to Pitt Memorial Hospital. The shooting, which occurred around 2 p.m. is under investigation by the State Bureau of Investigation.
