Suspects climb through window, force clerks into safe
Police are investigating an armed robbery at the U.S. 70 West McDonald's that took place early on Tuesday morning, according to reports. At least three victims were forced into a cooler by two black males armed with a shotgun, according to the report. The men stole an undisclosed amount of money from a safe at the restaurant, according to the report.
Woman reported missing
The parents of Lavonda "Vonda" Denise Johnson, age 20, are hoping for her safe return after reporting the woman missing on Aug. 29. A police spokesman said Tuesday morning that police believe Ms. Johnson was still missing. The missing person report says that Ms. Johnson's parents have a court order to supervise her. Call Crime Stoppers at 735-2255 if you have information about Ms. Johnson, described as a black female with light-tone skin, about 5 feet tall, 130 pounds, with rings on all fingers.
