Chamber to sponsor forecast

The Chamber of Commerce of Wayne County will sponsor a "State of Community-Economic Forecast" from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, on the second floor of City Hall.
State of the Community is a new program presented by the Wayne County Chamber's Government Affairs Committee. The program is a series of panel presentations to give our citizens a glimpse of a variety of topics. This is the second State of the Community and will focus on economics. There will be a question-and-answer session after the panel presentations. Coffee and doughnuts will be available before the presentation.
Panelists will include Joanna Thompson, president of the Wayne County Development Alliance; Al Delia, CEO of the Eastern Region economic development organization; and Dr. Kenneth Stokes, dean of the Tillman School of Business at Mount Olive College.
