National Guard reunion this week

Officers of the 252d Coast Artillery/Anti-Aircraft Artillery Group Association, North Carolina National Guard in Wilmington, have announced plans for the 29th annual reunion, which is scheduled for Friday and Saturday. All former members of Hq and Hq Btry, 252d CA/AAA and subordinate units are encouraged to attend.
A business meeting and stag shrimperoo will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the National Guard Armory, off North Kerr Avenue, Wilmington. Cost is $10 per person.
Officers for 2008-09 will be elected, and engraved memorial pavers in the associations' section at the Fallen Soldiers Memorial will be offered for sale.
Anyone in the Wilmington area needing transportation to the shrimperoo should contact the Association Motor Pool at 910-686-9342.
On Saturday, the annual Luau will be held at Covil Farms Clubhouse, Covil Farms Road off Military Cutoff, Wilmington. Social hour will commence at 5 p.m., followed by a catered Southern-style buffet. Cost is $12.50 per person. Members are encouraged to bring guests to the Luau.
