Richard Engle recently won $50 with an unusual scratch-off lottery ticket.
Lottery officials describe this odd card as a "win-all scenario" with 1 in 750 odds.
Richard Engle of Pikeville was shocked when he scratched off an instant win lottery ticket and found that every single number was a winner. He was playing "Double Your Luck."
Although his total winnings was only $50, it was the fact that all of the 10 numbers on the card were winning numbers.
The card gave the numbers 8 and 19 as numbers that would pay off. And Engle's card had five 8s on it along with five 19s.
Each number paid off with a $5 prize.
"That's what we call a win-all scenario," said Pamela Walker, corporate communications director with the North Carolina Education Lottery. "The odds of that happening are 1 in 750."
Engle purchased his card at the Food Lion in Pikeville.
