A few moments ago, the majority of the 4th Fighter Wing's F-15E Strike Eagle fleet touched down on a familiar flight line. The aircraft have been in Afghanistan for nearly a year, and the pilots and weapon systems officers manning them had been gone for more than four months. The final two installments of 335th Chiefs are expected to return later this evening, including another set of Strike Eagles and a large group of aircraft maintainers.
