Jalen WIlliams, left, and Jaynyque Crawford show off their homemade "slime" after a science experiment that taught students how to make the gooey substance during a science and math class held at Rays of Hope Inc. early Monday morning. The "slime," made from a mixture of Borax, glue and water, had the students fascinated during the experiment on mass. For the next two weeks, students between the ages of 8 and 14 will receive hands-on learning experiences in the fields of math and science, featuring experiments and other learning exercises.
