After playing from California to Delaware this year, the Malpass Brothers are set to perform live in their hometown of Goldsboro at Wayne Community College on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m.
Christopher and Taylor Malpass are known for keeping traditional country music alive. The brothers add a mixture of their own songs in with classic country hits that span from the 1930s to the 1970s. They never use a song list, and since their live conversations aren't scripted, you never know what they'll say next. But you will certainly go away with a smile on your face.
The brothers, who toured as an opening act with country music legend Merle Haggard for nearly four years, released an album on the Hag Records, record label.
The album, "Memory That Bad," features several originals written and composed by Christopher, as well as new, never recorded before songs written by Merle Haggard and Scott Joss. The album will be available for purchase at the show.
Tickets can be purchased for $15 each at the door the night of the event or by calling 919-920-5079.
