Schools to have open houses

Open house events to usher in a school year will be held in Wayne County Public School this week.
Classes for students are scheduled to resume next Monday, Aug. 26, with the exception of Dillard Middle School, where students return this Thursday.
Open house is an opportunity for students and parents to meet teachers, pick up any pertinent information such as supply lists and class schedules and to become more familiar with the school.
Dillard Middle School will hold its open house on Monday from 5-7 p.m.
Middle and high school open houses will take place Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.
On Thursday, elementary schools, along with Grantham School, will welcome parents and students from 5-7 p.m.
Edgewood Community Developmental School will contact parents to schedule an appointment to meet Thursday between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.
In addition to the regularly scheduled open houses, some schools are holding additional events.
Spring Creek High will have a sixth grade open house on Monday from 5:30-7:30.
On Tuesday, Rosewood Middle will hold a sixth grade open house from 5-7 p.m.
Eastern Wayne High has planned a freshman and new student orientation on Wednesday from 1-3 p.m.
Thursday, Eastern Wayne Middle will hold a sixth grade open house from 5-7 p.m. in the gym.
