Shots fired at apartment
Chamika Lydell Neal, 21, of 805 Newsome St., reported a shooting at her apartment to the Goldsboro Police Department Sunday at 8 p.m. Ms. Neal told officers that unknown suspects fired shots into her apartment striking her door and wall. Yad'Shae Dashon Jones, 25, also a resident of the apartment, and Adrian Thomas, 23, of Wilson, were inside the apartment at the time of the shooting. All were unharmed.
Common law robbery
A 30-year-old man was assaulted in an attempted robbery in the 300 block of Day Circle Sunday at 5:30 a.m., according to a Goldsboro police report. Jerelle Rasean Mitchell, of 220 Graham St., told police he was walking along when an unknown man waked up and punched him in the face. The crook then reached in Mitchell's pocket and removed $180 in cash. The suspect fled and Mitchell was treated by Wayne County EMS 41.
