Wayne County public school buses at Brogden Primary School sit idle Thursday.
The winter weather is continuing to wreak havoc on family's schedules as Wayne County Public Schools are closed for the fourth consecutive day today. Also closed today is Wayne Community College, though private schools and child care centers around the county were opening their doors on various delays.
Also open today are city of Goldsboro and Wayne County offices, after closing Wednesday and Thursday.
Goldsboro offices opened on time Friday, with Wayne County offices opening at 10 a.m. Both are set to remain open until 5 p.m.
For the county, all four-day, five-day and flex-time employees were to report to work unless arrangements were made with their department heads to utilize leave time today.
Goldsboro sanitation services also are resuming today, with Thursday's sanitation routes being picked up Saturday.
Wayne County Schools were closed Friday for the fourth consecutive day because of the weather.
