Shots were fired Monday shortly after noon leaving a bullet hole in the brick near the drive-through window of KFC on Ash Street.
Shots rang out near the Kentucky Fried Chicken at 700 E. Ash St., just before 11:30 a.m. Monday.
A KFC employee working the drive-through window witnessed what she said was a shoot-out between two people.
According to a Goldsboro police report, the employee saw a light-skinned black man with dreadlocks firing at a target east of the KFC parking lot.
The man then jumped into a cream-colored Cadillac and sped off, firing several more times, the report said.
The employee said she heard gunshots from the other direction, and saw rounds hitting the Cadillac as it drove off at a high rate of speed, according to the report.
No injuries were reported.
No bullets were found.
Investigators found no shell casings at the scene, but did find at least one bullet hole in the side of the building.
The Goldsboro Police Department said late Tuesday the matter was investigated and all that was found was property damage.
"We're not saying it didn't happen, there is just nothing for us to go on." Maj. Al King said.
