GODWIN -- Pearl Jackson Hudson, 90, died Thursday at Dunn Rehab and Nursing Center.

The Sampson County native was a daughter of the late Isaiah and Bethany Peacock Jackson and the widow of Noble Blanchard Hudson.

She is survived by three sons, Elton Hudson of Godwin, Weldon Hudson of Fayetteville and Norman Hudson of Godwin; three daughters, Jewell Grantham and Betty Evans of Goldsboro and Bess Cooper of Columbus, Ga.; and 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Mingo Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis Strickland officiating. Burial was in Jackson family cemetery.

The family received friends on Saturday night from 7 until 9 at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn.
