Odis Willard Hoggard, 69, of 123 Vance Drive, died Friday at Duke University Medical Center.
A native of Bertie County, he was the son of the late Wayland W. and Mildred Williford Hoggard. He graduated from West Bertie High School and was retired from Bell-Howell Company. He served 24 years in the Unites States Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Pikeville Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Mitchell will officiate.
Mr. Hoggard is survived by his wife, Shirley Simpson Hoggard; three sons, Lawrence Hoggard, Gary Hoggard and wife Amber, and Warren Hoggard, all of Goldsboro; three sisters, Ophelia Campbell and husband, Wilbur, of Washington, N.C., Rosa Lee Baisey and husband, David, of Roxobel, N.C., and Evelyn Humerickhouse of Rocky Mount; and two grandsons, Brandon and Wayland Hoggard.
