MOUNT OLIVE -- Carrie Rogers Davis, 92, of 193 Jeff Outlaw Road, died Sunday morning at SunBridge Care Center.

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Harrison and the Rev. Lloyd Womack officiating.

The family will remain at the funeral home afterward to receive friends, and at other times, they will be at the home of Lina and S.R. Pate, 193 N.C. Hwy. 403 West, Mount Olive.

Committal and interment will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in Maplewood Cemetery.

Mrs. Carrie is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Lina D. and Stephen R. "Dink" Pate of Mount Olive, and Emily D. Hall of Mount Olive; two sons and daughters-in-law, Elton Ray and Teresa Davis of Mount Olive and J. Michael and Bernice Davis of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Brenda H. Ricker, Carolyn P. and Dero Burroughs, Kelly D. and Chris Guy, Ashley D. and Elliott Graham, Nolan Davis, Lance Davis, and Preston Grantham, all of Mount Olive; great-grandchildren, Dawn and Lloyd Sutton of Georgia, Jamie Ricker, Brandi B. and Pee Dee Hamm, and Will Guy, all of Mount Olive; two great-great-grandchildren, Zylea Sutton and Knowlt Sutton, both of Georgia; a sister-in-law, Bertha Davis of Mount Olive; and several nieces and nephews, including Lelia and Lloyd Womack of Baltimore, Md., whom she helped to rear.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Davis; a grandson, Dwight Pate; a son-in-law, Gurman Hall; a daughter-in-law, Judy Jarman Davis; her parents, Thad and Alpina Outlaw Rogers; and her brothers and sisters.

She was a retired homemaker and farmer's wife, and she was a life-long member of the Long Ridge Free Will Baptist Church, and at the time of her death, she was the church's oldest living member.
