Pearl Toler McFatter, 77, of Marygold St., died Saturday morning at her home.

Mrs. McFatter was born in Johnston County and was the daughter of the late George Ransom Toler and Leona McFatter Toler. She was the bookkeeper for McFatter Woodworks for 40 years. Mrs. McFatter was a member of Oak Heights Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, where she served as church clerk, treasurer, Sunday school secretary and in many other areas of ministry at the church.

A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Freuler officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. McFatter is survived by her husband, Alex McFatter; her daughter, Joyce Ann Borkowski and husband, Robert, of Goldsboro; her daughter-in-law, Barbara McFatter of Raleigh; her sisters, Norma Williford, Barbara Murphy, Nancy Cruse and Rose Jinnette, all of Goldsboro; her brothers, George Earl Toler, Melvin Toler, and Junior Toler, all of Goldsboro and Bill Toler of Princeton; her grandchildren, Jody Borkowski Carter and husband, Kevin, Steven Borkowski, Stephanie Borkowski Thomas and husband, Bill, Lorienda Strickland, and husband, Larry, Johnny McFatter and wife, Missy, Dana Ennis, and David McFatter and wife, Serena; her step-grandchildren, Jonathan Crawford and Lisa Searle and husband, Michael; and her great-grandchildren, Madeline Thomas, Ariel Strickland, Savannah Strickland, Cameron McFatter, Cole McFatter and Drake Ennis. She is also survived by special friends, Charlotte Perry and Rosa Simmons.

Mrs. McFatter was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Carroll "J.C." McFatter and two infant children, Eddie Harold and Linda Hope McFatter.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Eastern Alzheimer's Association, 400 Oberlin Road, Suite 208, Raleigh, N.C., 27605.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
