WILLIE BARWICK

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Willie S. Barwick, 81, widow of Charlie Barwick, died Thursday at Britthaven of Onslow.

The funeral will be held by the graveside on Monday at 2 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery. The Rev. Charlie Hughes will officiate.

Mrs. Barwick was the daughter of the late J.B. and Omelia Worley Strickland.

She is survived by one son, Steve Metts, a retired Charlotte fireman, and his wife, Jean, of Sneads Ferry; and three sisters-in-law, Doris Barwick of Mount Olive, Eunice Strickland of Richmond, Va., and Carol Strickland of Smithfield.

The family will receive friends today from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Wayne County Council on Aging.
