MOUNT OLIVE -- Dorothy Herring Outlaw, 83, died Wednesday at her home in the Beautancus community.

The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Stanford Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Debbie Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Outlaw Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Outlaw retired as a bookkeeper with Chas. F. Cates & Sons Pickle Co. in Faison. She was preceded in death by her parents, William A. and Irene Kornegay Herring.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Debra Outlaw of Raleigh; two nephews, Cary Grant Rich Jr. of Arkansas and Alexander H. Rich of Raleigh.

The family will receive friends at the church during the hour prior to the service on Sunday.

Tyndall Funeral Home is serving the family.
