FREMONT -- Alton Turnage, 77, of 316 Aycock Dairy Farm Road, died Friday at Avante in Wilson.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Williamson Cemetery on Aycock Dairy Farm Road.

Mr. Turnage is survived by his wife, Christine Turnage; three brothers, Lee Turnage of Starke, Fla., Carl Turnage of New Albany, Ind., and Morris Turnage of Virginia Beach, Va.; five sisters, Yvonne Craven and Bonnie Shook of McClenny, Fla., Helen Lane of Benbrook, Texas, and Martha Harrison and Tiny Lane of Goldsboro.

A viewing will be held Monday from 9 until 10:30 a.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine St., in Fremont.

The family will receive friends Sunday (today) and Monday morning at the residence, 316 Aycock Dairy Farm Road, Fremont.
