Rosa Deans Medlin, 77, formerly of 3618 Rains Crossroad Road, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home in Princeton. The Rev. Harold Medlin will officiate. Burial will be on Friday at 10 a.m. at Aycock Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Medlin was born on Aug. 12, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Provert Lee and Ella Davis Deans and the widow of Luther Medlin.

She is survived by three sons, Edward L. Medlin of Kenly, Donnie H. Medlin and William Sherwood Medlin of Princeton; three sisters, Colleen Smith, Louise Johnson and Sue Jones of Kenly; and five grandchildren two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to and immediately following the service tonight.
