Jasper P. Byrant, 62, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Bryant of the home; five children, Jeffrey, Mary and Jere-miah Bryant of Goldsboro, Lajena (Greg) Uzzell of Manahein, Germany, and Rachelle Bryant of Greensboro; three sisters, Dorothy (Claude) Artist of Washington, D.C., Ruby Bryant of Silver Spring, Md., and Inez (William) Woodard of South Carolina; his mother-in-law, Leona Cox of Goldsboro; and 12 grandchildren.

The viewing will be on Saturday morning from 10 until 11 at McIntyre Funeral Home, the inspirational service will follow in the chapel from 11 until 12:30, and a graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at Old Mill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the residence at 2870 Old Smithfield Road, Princeton.
