Died Oct. 14, 2005

The funeral for Clement Yelverton, 78, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of McIntyre Funeral Home. Apostle D. L. McIntyre will officiate. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Mr. Yelverton is survived by two sons; Eugene Yelverton of Goldsboro and Archie Sampson of Elizabeth City; four daughters, Barbara Yelverton and Glory Yelverton of Goldsboro, Betty Yelverton of Washington, D.C., and Mary Semidey of Wilmington, N.C.; one brother, Hurshell Yelverton of Kentucky; one sister, Emma Perry of Goldsboro; and 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

The viewing will be from 2 until 6 today at McIntyre Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends there from 6 until 7 this evening.
