Othaniel Battle, 82, formerly of Goldsboro, died Saturday at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton,Md.

Among the local survivors is a daughter, Carol Battle of the Elroy Community.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Fulton Funeral Home in Yanceyville.
